spending time fitting and welding rather than sanding and grinding is always best. also a better repair.

The weld job is absolute shit, poor locations, massive amounts of rust, and harbor frightening tools didn't help too much. Some finishing putty and some textured roll on bed liner and it should be good... Well, better than a huge rust hole.
